This is FUNNERRRR!

Dear THIS IS FUN people of the world,
I have to say, I’ve never had so many volatile ups and downs in my life... well… more daily ups and downs in my life, but I can guarantee you that THIS IS FUNNERRRRRR heheeheeeeeee :D
Life, the final frontier. Good heavens, it’s the only chance we’ll have to experience fear, exciticism
(YES, that is a word, get over yourself), pain, joy, heartache, mortality, and exponential growth while in an imperfect body. I have been thinking a lot about sacrifice because the last training session with Presidente talked about it, the last letter to Presidente required a response about it, the last district meeting doctrine
I have been thinking a lot about sacrifice because the last training session with Presidente talked about it, the last letter to Presidente required a response about it, the last district meeting doctrine
was about it, AND the bishopric talked about it at the last Sacrament Meeting. Why does the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints require so much of the members? Why must there be so much sacrifice? Because it IS the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints. He suffered all; and if we want to come unto Him, we must experience the pains and sacrifices He felt. If we want to be more perfect, if we want to be perfected in Christ, we must sacrifice what we want for what we need; sacrifice who we want to be for who we need to be.
If we remember who we are (literal offspring of The All-Knowing; children of God Omnipotent) and remember who we will be (Gods and Goddesses. Hey, Daddy, what’s that scripture? SCRIPTURE CHASE!), sacrifices won´t look like sacrifices at all because we would accomplish them without a thought. We would treat one another as future potential gods and would want to help one another for the sake of the future and, soon enough, for the sake of charity, for the sake of true love one toward another. |
What sacrifice is required for baptism? A BROKEN HEART. Yikes, how painful! But that’s exactly the point: growing pains. The only way a muscle grows is if there are tiny tears so that the body will reconstruct the muscle larger than before. That is what Christ is doing for us. When we come to Him with a broken heart, He will fix us and leave us better than we were before.
Sister DeO is changing a LOT. She is becoming so much more Christ-like, patient, loving. It’s not like she was so terrible, but it’s much easier to see changes in others than in yourself. If I’m growing as much as she is, then I’d count my lucky stars. We’re still havin’ trouble teaching: her talking less, me talking more, people understanding our purpose, etc. But the language is a breeze... when it comes to listening to people. Gotta getta the hang of talking, at times, though. Sister Nelson |
