Hello Mom-o, Hello Dad-o

[We know what God has to say because the prophet has spoken. It is time to build our own arks in order to be ready when it rains, and it is going to “rain.”]
I like that. Build our own arks.

[Strangely, March is usually “In like a lion and out like a lamb.” However, it was JUST the opposite this year. EXACTLY OPPOSITE!]
It went in like LAMBCHOPS and out like a lion’s grill. I will sum it up in a camp song we all know. Hello Mom-o, Hello Dad-o, I’m still here in Cabo Frio. Life is very Entertaining, And they say we’ll baptize some When it stops raining. The Ups FRANK AND SIMONE CAME TO CHURCH!!!!!!!! After passing by 6 times and leaving love notes, they came to church!!!!! Okay, so now they need some personal revelation to blast their laziness out of the water for this conference. I LOVE REACTIVATING FAMILIES! It’s such a beautiful thing. While touring around the Center of São Pedro, new territory, “to boldly go where no man has gone before,” I—out of nowhere—decided to ask a person to fill my water bottle. And—BOOM!—we found a family who had JUST moved in. I LOVE when that happens. |

Walking out of the dead-end street of a less-active, Sister Romão asked if we could “everybody clap your hands” at some random house. We clapped... and clapped... and clapped. Finally, a little kid in skivvies came out to greet us. The mom came in a tank top and short shorts and said that she was a member, an ex-RSP [Relief Society President, the women’s organization in the LDS church], and her family was sealed in the temple. She said that she left because she was offended by rudeness and things that happened in the church. She never has had the courage to throw away the Book of Mormon, though... Hmmm, I wonder WHY. She talked our ears off but still stayed there talking to us even when her sister—who also was a member—kept calling her to come in the |
house. We left very disappointed that we didn’t really leave what she needed to hear. We cried. I get really worked up when I find less-actives who leave. They’ll be under more condemnation than those who ignorantly reject us.
Question of the Day
These two questions have changed my life forever:
Do you trust in God?
Can He trust YOU?
MOM, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I have no time left. I’ll write a letter via missionties. There’s just TOO much to say about this week of miracles.
Mom and Dad, I’m so grateful that I never needed to worry about “the parent that is weaker in the gospel.” I’m so lucky to have had you two as my parents, who placed my feet on the path of righteousness and have always prayed for my well-being. Thank you for your examples and testimonies. GO TO THE TEMPLE THIS WEEK FOR ME! I’ve been missing the Lord’s house.
