SO Much To Do, SO Little Time
December 18, 2012
I have been so stressed lately, not going to lie. Being a missionary has quite the responsibility; and the thing is… the results and consequences are ETERNAL, meaning BEYOND just this life. Talk about stress overload. And I thought making decisions about what to do over the weekend was important. We’re talking about saving souls, here. In fact, we all are making eternal decisions every DAY! Please, take note with the time you are given and think, “Is this helping me return to live with God? Is this feeding me spiritually? What can I do to show my faith every day?” What our investigators don’t notice or recognize is that they are not acting but being acted upon. They are slaves to the clock, to the job, to their...... vicios...... addictions... good heavens, I need to remember English a little better than this. And when they are slaves to tools they have been given by God to help them come closer to Him, they actually are being acted upon by Satan. He uses the same tools God does; but he uses them to capture and immobilize us, thus preventing or reversing progress towards God. |
We had a “Christmas Devotional” where we watched President Monson’s Christmas address.
Can you post that?

SHOUT-OUT! Watch the prophet’s address and please note that they zoomed in on the FLUTE AND OBOE! [O Little Town Of Bethlehem and Silent Night] I cried like a baby because I missed Emma Goodwin sooooo
much and want her to be a Mormon already. So, just get baptized, okay? Hahahahahhaha or at least find a church down there in So Cal and go to the Christmas activity.
President Lima talked about the signs of Christ’s birth: a new star in Jerusalem and a day, a night, and a day without darkness in the Book of Mormon. Think about the figurative nature of these signs: Christ was born; He is the light of the world. He gives us a new hope, a twinkle in our eyes, a direction to go. The wise men were directed by that star to Him who is worthy to save all and whose grace is sufficient for all who put their faith in Him and humble themselves to the dust, repent of their sins DAILY, and are baptized by water and by the spirit by someone who holds the priesthood of God. I bear my solemn testimony that Christ lives. We have the opportunity to remember this at least twice a year, Christmas and Easter. Let us take upon ourselves our duty to God and really, REALLY be Christians every day of our lives. What would Christ REALLY do??? We don’t have to just think, but we can ask our Heavenly Father what we should do. He wants us to depend on him. ALWAYS. He is stronger and mightier. He wants us to search for Him. He wants us to use our arbítrio... agency to show that we are His FAITHFUL sons and daughters. |
