I Will Follow in Front

February 18, 2013

[Dad and I just got back from Sparks for the weekend.  Davi and Dalton did a superb job on their missionary talks yesterday, and the family gathering was a ton of fun.  Sister Nelson wrote her email in Portuguese today.  I am having it translated right now.]

Translation received on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, courtesy “MIA Brasil:  Sister Dickson! :D”

This Sunday, I did the best fast in my life.  I did not know what to fast for, because I had lots of things in mind; but I received orientation (direction) and comfort in the church meetings.
I am grateful when I am able to have experiences that I promise for my investigators.  It shows that the promise is real for the people who struggle.
I understand why the Lord always says, “Have faith, Sister.”  I noticed I was not exercising faith when I worked, and this was manifested (shown) to me this week.

I am enjoying working with Sister D’avila because I am understanding how I can better teach because we still are not teaching in union (together).  Working with someone
Têm muitas novas dificuldades no
who does not have experience teaching before meant that we need to plan our lessons really well and practice A LOT all day and every day.  There are a lot of new difficulties in the
work that is making me organize and lead differently and with more love.  I still have a lot of difficulty calling to repentance a house of three new [sister] missionaries:
when we get up, do exercises, talk about missionary work during lunch with members, plan at 9-9:30 instead of talking, and sleep in the right hour (go to bed on time).
I am getting annoyed with the sisters, and I am very sad in this subject (about this subject).

I am very worried with our bishop because we heard it said that he thinks that baptisms are not happening because of us.  When Sister D’avila and I arrived at his house
to ask to say a prayer with him, he was busy; and we felt that we were were bothering him.  I was without grace (frustrated in a way), but we asked about families that he wants
us to reactivate.  We have a goal to win back the bishop and our WML (Ward Mission Leader) with charity.

Vou Seguir Em Frente,
I Will Follow in Front,

Síster Nelson
