Talent Show... Talent Hide
Gifts and talents and love... yeah, those things go away if you don’t work on them... just like my muscles. I have been really just stressed and a missionary machine. All the sisters think I’m too uptight, but what else do moms do? I need to follow my patriarchal blessing and seek after spiritual gifts. I’m also trying to make my blessings come true—both the patriarchal blessing and the set apart blessing. I’m trying to be a peacemaker... but it usually ends up as a disaster. I’m being more of a peacemaker in the broken homes we are teaching. I’m still clinging to the counsel President Lima gave me when I was with Sister Diller. He said I’m never alone. No matter who my companion is, I need to remember that my Savior is always at my side; and the Holy Ghost is my constant companion. I’m feeling a bit alone in this house; but I know that if I keep my head up, stay positive, love until it hurts, and pray constantly, the miracles will happen. They already are happening. What day is it? A DAY OF MIRACLES!!!! Our zone, which is the best—the best united was Jacarepaguá—has a theme: TITLE OF LIBERTY! We are in defense of the families we are teaching, of our standards, and of the Lord. We are going to rock the boat. This theme was put into place BEFORE we knew that THE MISSION IS GOING TO DIVIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! President Monson announced Sunday on the website that there will be 7 new missions in Brazil. Juíz de Fora is near Cabo Frio, more or less, so we will be assimilated. “Resistance is futile.” Too bad this is put into place one month before I come home! Boooooooooooooooo!! BUT (if you buy 5 complaintos........or something like that. Hahaha!) the ONLY 2 missions that will be opening that don’t already have a temple is Natal and HERE! You know what that MEANSSSSSSS. SHOUT-OUT! Congrats to Cameron Carr for taking part in the Fortaleza mission that now has a temple AND will divide! WOOT WOOT! GO ZION! Investigators WE HAVE MARKED 6 BAPTISMS!!! Maria Clara: “HOW CAN I BE BAPTIZED??” She is ELECT! Licurgo: “Sure, I’ll be baptized. No one has ever invited me before. And, as a retired military man, when I say I will, I will!” Márcia: “Your church teaches that you should be married as a virgin, right? Yeah, I want me and my daughter to be part of this church.” Carolina, 13 years old: “I loved the church today. I even prayed last night, but I didn’t feel anything. How do I receive an answer from God?” Nilda, Márcia’s mom: “I’ve already been baptized in 8 other churches. Can I be baptized again? I also am really scared about death.” Tereza, Márica’s special sister (She talks a LOT but quieted down and accepted on the first visit because we told her that we have an important message for her from God.) Celebration tonight Family Night at bishop’s house with homemade pizza, getting to know Maria Clara, and getting home at 10:15! Fubecagem! [Slacking; messing around] |
Sister Nelson ---> Elder L. Tom Perry’s talk, this General Conference: The title of Jeff & Lori’s daughter is an honorable title of which I hope to represent well.
